Snorkeling


We spent one whole day at Hanauma Bay enjoying the warm sunshine.
We took a picnic and swam, snorkeled and walked up and down the beach. It was a perfect day










so many colorful fish



It was such a highlight to see and touch the sea turtles... we saw 7 of them

Dipnetting

Dip netting is held during the weeks of July. It is where you dip net fish out of the ocean by taking large round nets (about 4 feet around) that are held by 12 foot long poles. You walk out into the current and hold out your net to catch the salmon swimming upstream to spawn. Here is dad in navy blue, Scott in green and Erin in light blue, waiting for the fish to get caught in their nets...

He sat right down for a bit
