this and that's
Dad gave me roses for my birthday.... creamy white and
smelling like heaven! (the box of chocolates is gone :)
Kodiak praying with us a few nights ago...
check how his eyes are closed and he's staying
so quiet

Last week it started snowing cotton balls... honestly... they were so big. We just didn't get out there soon enough to catch how big there were coming down. We tried to get Kodiak out into the untouched back yard to show how deep the snow was out there... he was not having any of it..

pictures of our evening at the Temple
Remember.... we have two people who are snapping pictures like crazy with their new cameras .... so here are some shots of us on our way to the Temple the day after Christmas. It was my night to work at the Temple so dad and Scott came with me and did an endowment session with our Hastings family names. It was wonderful !
Oh, now you can see my new glasses
and the nifty (that's right I said nifty) side designs :)
they have a sort of purple metallic look to them... I like them.
That's right... our old and worn out looking hands
We're still in love and holding tight to each other.
I love this frozen manger scene as you walk into the Temple. The figures just glisten and sparkle with frost in the night air... it looks just magical.
ok... these are just some mushy shots Scott took of dad and I... you may want to turn away.. :)
Oh yes... dad did not wear that blue plaid shirt to the Temple, we changed clothes downstairs so we could go and catch a late movie

Christmas day
Here are some more pictures of Christmas at our house
First of all... dad painted Scott and I each a picture ... which was a total surprise for both of us!
Here is Scott's warrior... check him out...
and here is my sweet little girl in a straw hat.. I love her
setting out our luminarias
Christmas eve dinner
caroling and driving around to see Christmas lights
it looks like a gingerbread house... huh
both dad and Scott got cameras for Christmas
Scott has wanted to grow a beard this winter with the goal to shave it on Christmas day.
Here is his last picture with his beard...
here are some Christmas shots they've taken...
taking a Christmas afternoon snooze
ok... we're done...
it's time to call it a day.

Christmas at our house
This year it was so fun to have Scott home for Christmas and also to be able to talk with Erin on Skype from her mission in Chicago... those were the sweetest highlights from our Christmas day...
Merry Christmas !
Here's our girl...
