our Mission President's Seminar

Week before last, we attended our Mission President Seminar in Cancun.
Our seminar was hosted by President and Sister Kirkham, the Cancun mission President and his wife.  All 34 Mission Presidents and their wives from Mexico were there.  We were blessed to have Elder Brent H. Nielson of the Seventy and his wife join us, as well as our Area Presidency.
We met up with our good companeros from the Guadalajara Este mision,
the Eggington's at the airport and traveled to Cancun together.

We had a full schedule of meetings,
but there was plenty of time for recreation.

One of the Mission Presidents and his
wife performed several dances for us,
they were absolutely darling!

We visited Tulum. These beautiful ruin are the icon of Mexico.  We had a wonderful
LDS guide and felt like we were truly in Book of Mormon territory.

Brother Devin G. Durrant's visit to our mission

Brother Durrant who is the First Counselor in the Sunday School General Presidency
came to visit and teach our Guadalajara missionaries about teaching as the Savior taught.
He began by asking a series of inspired questions and teaching
how to wait for, and build on those answer. It was a wonderful morning,
Highlights of his remarks are on our mission blog
We went to lunch afterwards with President Valuenzuela and our Area Seventy
Elder Johnson

quite a view

There are so many gorgeous places to stay, particularly in Manzanillo and Vallarta.
Quite honestly, we are so exhausted when we finally get to our room, there is no way we could really enjoy all a place like this has to offer. But we do stroll down the beach and try to unwind
and relax a bit.
This is the entryway to our hotel La Hadas in Manzanillo.  It is just beautiful.

of course, President loves the boats on the dock
