Philmont

We have had a crazy busy summer.  One of our favorite experiences was our week at Philmont Scout Ranch.  Families were invited to attend during the week long Stake Presidency Training.  It was a wonderful week learning about the Duty to God Program for Young Men.  We were blessed to get to know and hear from Elder Shayne Bowen of the Seventy and his wife, and President David Beck the General Young Men President and his wife and several  men from the General Young Men's board. Also Sister Wixom and Sister Stevens from the General Primary and their husbands were there..... they each were just so inspiring.  It is still difficult to put into words how sacred and sweet this experience was for Bob and I.   It was just awesome.

High School Graduation

ok, maybe I'll add a few of Erin's Graduation pictures

Erin's Graduation

You think this day will never come.   Even as the years go by, this day seems far away.... way down the road... that day when your last child graduates from High School.
Well, that day is today.  That day finally arrived and our Erin girl graduated from High School.
She graduated 11th in her class, Magna Cum Laude.  And we are so very proud of her.
Here are a few shots of our girl.

Spring has sprung

Spring is here!!!!
It has happened.  We knew it would come... and sure enough the sun has come out and the snow is melting away.  We love that our home faces south.  Our front yard melted fast.  We just have a small patch of snow left in the shady back yard.
The sky is blue and this place is buzzing with activity.
Everyone is out raking their yards, sweeping up the gravel :) and even watering the grass.  Tonight on our walk, we saw a sprinkler on in a front yard watering the snow still there, helping it melt and wash away.
We have plans to finish our front yard and porch in the coming weeks.
This weekend we are anxious to wash our cars and wash out our garage.
This may not be exciting news for you.... but it is for us.
Welcome spring... we're glad you're here.
Here is the back yard... just a touch of snow left.

All gone in the front.
