Dads painting of the Anchorage Alaska Temple

Robert J. Clayton
  Anchorage Temple Lights at Eventide

As the sun sets, the sky above the Anchorage Temple fills with a wondrous symphony of blues, whites, yellows and pinks.  Exterior lights shimmer in the rain washed pavement and illuminate the outer walls of the temple, the towering steeple and the angel Moroni penetrating the gathering shadows of dusk like the saving beacon of a lighthouse in the night.  The inner lights glow with the warmth of a fireside hearth offering refuge from the stresses of the world.  Tis eventide and the House of the Lord shines forth in a world of ever increasing darkness.  Hallowed and sacred is the House of the Lord.  My thanks to Cathy Harrell for commissioning this painting.
