Scott leaving for school

First, I've got to show a picture or two of Scott helping us with a few things....and of just being home.  We LOVED having him here with us during his break.  He is such fun to be around.

The Yoda's starter went out on me in the Carr's parking lot the Saturday afternoon of Stake Conference. Dad came home for a quick bite and I was grabbing a quick something at the store and the car wouldn't start again... Dad came and got me and he called Scott ... who was working out at the gym and he came to help dad out.  They worked on putting a new starter in for about 3 hours and dad missed his 4:00 meeting...
Here they are repairing our car in the parking lot at Carrs..... that's right we have no shame....

I actually love this picture of Scott... both he and dad are both trying to put the starter in.  See dads legs hanging out to the left.  All 4 hands are needed to put that starter in.

It's a two man job and I'll just remind everyone that they are laying down in the icy wet melting parking lot water...dad said it was probably 35 degrees.

Scott especially was miserably cold. He had been working out in shorts and was sweaty and then sat on the cold ground to work on the car.... I went into Carrs and bought a few warm burritos (yuck) from the deli to help warm them up.

Scott's birthday...

Triple chocolate deliciousness :)

I do believe we dug into it before we lit the candles and sang happy birthday... it had to be done :/

Scott packing up

This actually makes me sad to see again.  Scott's empty room.

fun night together... endless root beer floats :)

A friend's good bye gift for the long trip

Dad and Scott double checking the bungee cords

Saying goodbye to Kodiak... which was very sad to watch.  After Scott was gone he went up and fell asleep on his bed

It's always hard to watch our kids take off..
