We had dinner with the mission presidency tonight and boy was it a treat!
We went to Canelos and had a scrumptious dinner... but it was the entertainment
that was the hit of the evening. They had 4-5 different mariachi bands playing as they surrounded various tables and then other men playing solo in one corner or other. The bands played one right after the other all evening long. They played and played and sang and sang and it was wonderful!
Not going to lie..... they were loud! Bob and I would watch them, especially the trumpet players with their cheeks bulging until their faces were red! They blew and blew until they had to stop.. only to get another huge breath. Also, the men singing were singing with their lungs at absolute full capacity! No joking, it was phenomenal and quite the experience!
We mostly loved being with these couples. We have gotten very, very close with them, especially Bob and these good men. They have been outstanding counselors and secretary to him and have helped him immensely. He loves them with a love that has developed and become richer as they have dealt with very serious and complicated issues for these past three years. It has been sweet to watch this kind of genuine, brotherly and Godly love.
What great company and wonderful food as well. We had such an enjoyable time together.
Oh, we will miss them terribly!
