Our final Mission President’s Seminar 2018

What a marvelous few days we have had at our final mission president’s seminar.  We love the friends we have made and the memories as well.
This year, we met at the Mexico City MTC.  What a gorgeous campus and facility! It is smack dab in the middle of one of the busiest and congested cities in the world. The MTC is completely walled in and the moment we drove into the gates, you could feel a difference. The spirit of the Lord is there, and the work of the Lord's chosen servants preparing for their full time service is evident.

President and Sister Bennett are awesome, we love them so much.  They told us that with the Chili and Spain MTC’s closing, they will absorb all Spanish speakers there in the Mexico City MTC.  They had approximately 167 missionary there last week, and are scheduled to be receiving hundreds more in the coming months. What an effort that will be!

The area presidency was friendly and positive, and encouraging. With Elder Pieper leaving this summer for his new assignment, and Elder Valenzuela called as the new Area President, there are changes in the works and we are excited for what that will mean here in Mexico.

Our focus for the whole conference was on Elder Anderson’s teachings, emphasis and challenges for missionary work here in Mexico. He visited the two Guadalajara missions in mid February and it was so wonderful.
Bob and I were asked to participate in a panal discussion introducing Elder Anderson’s 50/50 challenge to find, get to know, contact and teach 50 youth in the church between the ages of 15-25, and 50 non member youth between those ages.

Here are some highlights of our few days together with the other mission presidents and their wives.
